Congratulations to Elyse (Cpt), Julia, Quinn, Nicole and Emily G (SM) on their fine show of Dressage on Saturday. It was a very long day, with 24 Teams competing!! The scores were very close, and we finished just outside the ribbons, with only 19 points between us and the winners! This was Nicole’s first mounted Rally and she received ‘0’ in HM – way to go! All the girls did a good job in HM (thanks to Emily G for being a super support), again just placing outside the ribbons. This is the first time Elkridge has had a Dressage Team in the ‘D’ Rally for a long time.
A Huge congratulations to our D Eventers at their Rally yesterday. Team of Julia, Cpt, Elyse, Quinn, Madison and Emily F (C1,SM), showed a true Team spirit and pulled out some fabulous displays of Dressage, XC and SJ. Julia, Quinn and Elyse all had clear rounds for XC and SJ and Madison had clear for SJ and a few faults XC! They finished 4th overall out of 20 Teams and 4th in HM, with no Team HM marks deducted!
Congratulations to Julia, Quinn (Cpt), Alex and Josie (SM). They had a tough time with only having a short team at the last minute, due to Brooke’s horse not being well (we wish Sweetie a speedy recovery!) They worked hard but their Team placed just outside the ribbons. Julia had a super day, and finished 2nd overall individually, and Alex, who competed in her first Rally finished 4th overall individually. Well done to you all for your hard work and preparation and to Kristen W our coach.

A super start to the year, good luck to your Rally Season, have fun, work hard, have success, learn lots!
What a day! We had beautiful weather, great food, and terrific play! Who could ask for more - oh, how about a new grandson for John Porter, the coach! Yes, that very morning of the rally, he welcomed his first grandson, Jack, into the world! But he still made it to the rally to cheer and coach on the teams!
Under the wonderful coaching of John and Bill Minor, the teams were fantastic! We had two full Novice teams and Devon Barton played as a scramble for an intermediate team.
The Skittles, consisting of Erika (capt), Emily F., Josie and Kate (SM) did a terrific job. They finished in 1st place in Horse Management after a 3-way tie breaker question! Then, they finished in 2nd place overall! Way to go!
The Mane Event, consisting of Julia (capt), Quinn, Brianna and Shelby(SM) also did a great job. Their team placed in 5th place in Horse Management and then in 5th place overall. Both teams placed very well in Horse Management considering they were being judged against the Intermediate teams as well! We heard a great deal of compliments on Elkridge Harford standards in Horse Management which makes us extremely proud. Thank you girls for keeping that bar high!
Devon's team - the Bay Area Crab Cakes - an Intermediate Team, placed 2nd overall in the Intermediate Division. Way to Go!
Not only that, there were Most Valuable Player Awards given out for each division and Devon won for Intermediate! and Erika won for Novice!! Take a bow girls!!! Devon was also asked to play for APA - American Polocrosse Association - how's that for being good?
Congratulations to Brianna and Quinn, who passed their D3! They did so in the pouring rain at the Williams'! Much thanks to the Williams' for allowing the ratings to take place on such a "lovely" day! Also, much thanks goes out to their examiner, Chris Donovan for withstanding the weather, and also playing "vet" of the day for Summer! And kudos as well to Josie and Emily F. to being scribes of the day. Noone came home that day dry! Hurricane Kyle tried, but he didn't put a damper on the proceedings! Elkridge Harford sent a successful team to the D Eventing Rally which consisted of Julia (capt.), Quinn, Shelby and Emily F (SM). The girls did very well and came back with a third place overall out of 12 teams! A Job Well Done Girls!!!

Laura and Teddy did a fabulous job!!! Of course, Meg Gill had a hand in this as well as stable manager! Her tremendous help paid off we are all so sure, since the entire team came in SECOND PLACE!!! Those are some seriously large feet to clean with Teddy, so Meg had her hands full!! Laura had a great dressage score of 38.5, and clear rounds on both showjumping and crosscountry. All of that hard work paid off!! Bravo!!!
Showjumping!!
Josie and Desi!! What a team!! Their team finished in second place ~ and only by 0.14 points!!! WOW!!! And I am sure that they couldn't have done it without the help of Emily Gill as stable manager!!! And from my calculations, there were 4 clean rounds!! Josie also placed 3rd in Equitation overall!
